LAINE, Bernie James- age 78 passed away Saturday February 23, 2013 in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard R. & Katherine Gill Laine; brother, Fred G. Laine; sister Mary Katherine McCarley. Survived by wife, Betty Laine; sons, Randy(Luanne) Laine & Ronnie(Carol) Laine; grandsons, Matthew Laine, Alex Laine, Joel Laine, Joey Laine, & Daniel Mayes; sister Virginia Hill; and numerous other family members. Mr. Laine was a member of Barton’s Creek Baptist Church. He owned and operated The Laine Company where he was a contractor and shared the business with his sons and nephew Jerry Hill. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 26th 4-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. A private service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions may be made in his memory to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or to the Union Rescue Mission.
