Sara Ann Beadle Thompson Major Beaty

BEATY, "Sara" Ann Beadle Thompson Major- age 92 passed away Tuesday May 13th in the Elmcroft- Heartland Village Care Center. She is preceded in death by her biological parents, Edd Beadle & Gertie Leona Quisenberry Beadle & her adoptive parents, Sam William Thompson & Ida Nell Beadle Thompson; husbands, William Alexander "Bill Alec" Major & Jim Beaty. Survived by her daughters and their husbands, Samera Major Baird & William Erwin Baird, Vicki Ann Major & J. Drexel Wheeler D.V.M.; special friend, Dave Sutter; four grandsons, William Major Baird, Jonathan Coleman Baird, William Drexel (W.D.) Wheeler & Samuel Major Wheeler; five great grandchildren, Coleman Caldaro Baird, Alexander Glenn Baird, Caden Samuel Baird, Susan Ann Baird, & William Harvey Baird. A long time resident of the Major Community, and a volunteer with University Medical Center where in 1989 she had more than 6200 hours of service as a volunteer. She also served on the Wilson County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for many years, and was active in the Major Home Demonstration Club. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 17th 9:00 a.m. until Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Rev. Don McElroy will officiate the service. Interment, Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers, grandsons, sons-in-law, & friends, Phil Kinslow & Gary Corley.
