Betty Sue Filson

Betty Sue Filson - age 90 of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Trigg Bettes; husband, J.B. Filson; grandson, Steven Bane; and brothers, Bill and Jim Bettes.
She is survived by children, Jerry Filson, Lynn Moss, Tony Filson, and Donna (Johnny) Bane; 5 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Pillar.

Betty Sue Filson was a beloved elementary school teacher who devoted more than 30 years of her life to educating and encouraging children. Throughout her remarkable career, she touched the lives of more than 700 students, leaving a lasting impression on generations of young people.
Children were truly her life, and she cared deeply for every child who entered her classroom. Betty Sue also dearly loved her family and had a tremendous influence on the lives of those closest to her. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Her church family meant the world to her, and her faith was an important part of the loving and compassionate life she lived.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 1 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Bro. Joe Johnson will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dies, Dakota Dies, Joshua Thomas, Connor Zorn, Brennan Scurlock, Toby Scurlock and Scott Pillar.
