Claudine (Dean) Ray West Obituary (1930 - 2018)

CLAUDINE (DEAN) RAY WEST- Age 87 of Lebanon, TN was born on the John Manka farm in Dade County, Missouri on March 27, 1930 to the late Oscar and Opal Stiles West. He broke free of this life on February 15, 2018 at Quality Health Care Center in Lebanon. He was a retired corporal in the United States Army and he also retired from U.S. Shoe Corporation / Texas Boot Company in 1992. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a crossing guard at Carroll Oakland Elementary. Also preceded in death by son, Michael Dean West; great-grandson, Shawn Allen Wood; sisters, Maxine Derrick, Kay Brown, and Jean Reynolds; brother, Bill (Tank) West; step-mother, Ruby (Lewis) West and childhood friend, Charlie Redfearn. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann Whitefield West; daughter, Sherry (James) Wood; grandsons, Matthew Wood, Mark (Krystle) Wood and Adam Wood; and great-grandson, Wesley Wood. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Nancy Whitefield; nephews, Jerry Reynolds, Ron (Lesa) Reynolds, Dustin (Nicole) Reynolds, Dale (Sherry) Jones, Dean (Cindy) Jones, Berry West, Jeff (Mary Ann) Whitefield, Kirk (Julie) Whitefield, Doug Whitefield; nieces, Sabrina (West) Kelley, Rhonda Williams, and Lorie Lea Whitefield; and several great-nieces and nephews and many wonderful neighbors and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Funeral services will be on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Meadors officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12 noon until the service.
