Daniel (Danny) Alford Norton Obituary (1943 - 2017)

NORTON, Daniel Alford (Danny) - age 74 of Lebanon passed away at his home following a heart attack on Monday, October 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Norton and his mother, Vivian Arrington Norton. Mr. Norton is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Marie Norton; children, Angela Danyelle (Randy) Hankins, Lori Danise (Waine) Haley, and Mark Allen Norton; grandchildren, Colton Chase (Anastasia Van Alstyne) Willits, Kyler Ashton Hankins, and Connor Allen Norton; step-granddaughter, Heather Hankins (Craig) Brown; step-grandson, William Haley; and step- great grandsons, Cayden, Peyton, and Tanner; brother, Larry (Sherrie) Norton; and niece, Victoria Norton. Danny was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy and Middle Tennessee State University. He was in the food service industry and worked for Kroger before his retirement. He was a devoted member of the church of Christ and will be remembered for his love of westerns and old cars. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m. until the service at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bro Jim Key will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Colton Willits, Kyler Hankins, Connor Norton, Randy Hankins, Waine Haley, and Coleman Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Bryan, Bob Hodge, Bobby Raines, Raymond Hankins, Mike Robinson, Terry Maxwell, Bill McGowan, and Frank Dudley. The family wishes to thank everyone that has helped with his recovery; the fabulous people at McFarland (It will always be McFarland to us) Rehab and for all the prayers and love that have been shown to us during the last 5 months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
