Emma Jean (Paris) Lester Obituary (1935 - 2018)

LESTER, Emma Jean Paris - age 82 of Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare. She is preceded in death by parents, Benjamin "Bud" and Jennie Paris; husbands, J.L. Adams and Sam Lester; brothers, Doyle and Raymond Paris; sisters, Francis Celukowski, Ruby Davis, and Margaret Wright; and stepdaughter, Denice Wallace. She is survived by daughters, Joy Adams and Jenny (Regan) McDonald; grandchildren, Megan Ligon, Sarah (Travis Hawkins) McDonald, Jacob (Adrienne Akins) McDonald & Adam McDonald; great-grandchildren, Andruw, Maci, and Amiyah; stepdaughter, Debbie (Gary) Johnston and family; step son-in-law, Ray Wallace and family; and many other loving family members and special friends. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Lux Clock with 29 years of service. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12 noon until the service. Bro. Jeff Pratt will officiate and interment will follow in the Jennings Cemetery in Statesville. Pallbearers, Jacob and Adam McDonald, Travis Hawkins, Quentin and Druw Hodge, Dan Jones and Don Wright. Honorary pallbearers, Dr. West and staff, Dr. Payton and staff, and special friends, Betty and Glenn Johnson. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Shriners or the American Heart Association.
