Everett G. Dye Obituary (1933 - 2015)

Everett (Eg) G. Dye - age 81 of Lebanon passed away May 23, 2015. He was born on August 23, 1933 in Corpus Christi, Tx., and was a graduate of Corpus Christi High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He resided in several states while pursuing a 38 year career with General Electric Capital. Mr. Dye was a lifelong volunteer, involved in community activities. He was particularly proud of his 8 years of service with the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company in Bethel, Ct. He believed in the importance of education, & contributing to various organizations in Lebanon. He also served as a volunteer for the United Way in both Jacksonville, Fl. and Lebanon areas. He is survived by children: Deborah Getchell of Venice, Fl., The Rev. Robert Dye of Muskogee, Ok., John Dye Sr. of Jacksonville, Fl., and Gordon Dye of Hermitage, Tn. Also surviving are grandchildren Amanda, Robyn, Christa, Chanler, John Dye Jr., Ann Sutton, Ainsley, Nichols, Caroline, Sara, Abigail, and William along with great grandchildren Jordan, Isabella, and Brady. Services will be held Friday May 29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation from 4:00 pm until the service. Dr. Larry Locke will officiate. A graveside service will be held Monday June 1, 2015 at the Wilson County Memorial Park at 10:00 am. Rev. Robert Dye will officiate. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given in his memory to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and United Way of Wilson County.
