James Roy "Ro-Ro" Gannon Obituary (1928 - 2012)

GANNON, James Roy - age 84 went home to be with the Lord Monday July 9, 2012. He was known as "Ro-Ro" to his friends and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Jane Reynolds Gannon; wife, Mildred McCrary Gannon; brothers, Clyde Gannon & Frank Gannon. Survived by his sons, Frank Roy(Marlene) Gannon & Jeff(Lisa) Gannon; daughter, Marilyn(Jerry) Todd; grandchildren, Troy Gannon, Christopher(Emily) Gannon, Tori(Adam Vaden) Gannon, Brandy(Robb) Soapes; great grandchildren, Lindsey(Matthew) Franklin, Keely Gannon, Jagger Vaden & Journey Vaden; great- great grandchildren, Landon & Lily; 3 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Mr. Gannon was a member of Vine Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a brick mason and owner of Gannon Masonry. He enjoyed farming, gardening and the love of his family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 11th 4-8 p.m. & Thursday July 12th 9:00 a.m. until funeral services 11:00 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bro. Randy Ward will officiate the services. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions may be made in Mr. Gannon's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
