MATHES, John G. "PA JOHN" - age 77 passed away on Friday October 29, 2010 in the University Medical Center. He is preceded in death by parents, Johnny George & Callie Jane Gannon Mathes; brother, Jessie Layman Mathes; sisters, Pauline Miller, Mary Testamand, Alene Bonner, & Dean Brown. Survived by daughters, Sue Hollows & Laura(Billy) Davis; sister, Martha Jane Stanley; grandchildren, Randy"Bubba" (Stephanie) Mathes, Amber Smith(Richard Huff), Paige Davis, Jason Davis, Shaun Davis, & Jayla Davis; great grandchildren, Barbara Huff, Landon Mathes, B.J. Huff, Layne Mathes, Alexius Mathes, & Nathan Huff; half-brothers, Jimmy Mathes, Jack Mathes, & Clyde(Patricia) Mathes; nephews, Gary Brown, Bobby Stanley, Jessie Stanley, Eddie Testamand, Melvin Testamand, & Donald Testamand; nieces, Teresa Green & Martha "Marti" Stanley. Mr. Mathes was a member of Adams Ave. Church of Christ and was employed as a driver for 30 years with the Coke Company. Visitation will be held on Monday November 1, 2010 4-8 p.m. & Tuesday November 2, 2010 9:00 a.m. until funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bro. Wayne Smith will officiate the services. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Billy Davis, Doug Hollows, James Demumbra, Eddie Testamand, Melvin Testamand, & Gary Brown.
