Lee Edwin "Ed" Gessner Jr Obituary (1928 - 2010)

GESSNER, Lee Edwin "Ed" Jr. - age 82 of Lebanon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in his home on the farm. He was preceded in death by parents Lee and Grace Gessner; 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Survived by family who cherished him including wife of sixty years, Carolyn Breeden Gessner; children, Lee and Deborah Gessner III of Lebanon; Carolyn and Keith Post of WI; and Lorraine and John Hansen of NJ; brother, John and Adele Gessner of Washington Crossing, PA; grandchildren, Lee IV, Kimberly, and Drew Gessner; Alex, Lauren, and Phillip Post; Chelsea, Abigail, and Perry Hansen. Mr. Gessner was a retired carpenter from New Jersey, former elder of the Millstone Presbyterian Church, Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 116, and a Korean War Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and American history. He worked hard, honored his obligations, and cared for others and will be missed by friends and family. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 5 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation from 3 p.m. until the service. Bro. Billy Robinson will officiate.
