Lisa is survived by her mother, Carolyn Casto; husband of 38 years, Brent Baldwin; daughters, Margaret Belle “Maggie” Baldwin and Anna Caroline Baldwin; son, Jack Scott Baldwin; brothers, Matthew (Angie) Casto and David (Trudy) Casto; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Annette Baldwin; brother-in-law, Payte (Janet) Baldwin; nieces, Sophie Casto, Lauren and Logan Baldwin, Alicia Hashman, and Gracyn and Annie Carter; nephews, William Casto and Joe White; and Michael Bankston's son, Cade Bankston.
A graduate of Harding University, she and her husband Brent married in 1986 and started their life together in Billings, MT. They soon moved to Tennessee, and settled in Lebanon in 1991. In 1996 they moved to the country, living in a house they built near Commerce in East Wilson County. Her house would become a home to all who stepped across the threshold.
In 1993 Lisa and Brent became guardian parents of Mike Bankston, a 13-year-old boy in need of a home. Mike, a talented athlete, started as quarterback for the football teams at Lebanon and Riverdale High Schools. In 2003 Lisa gave birth to twin daughters Maggie and Anna. Brother Jack was born in 2005.
Lisa, who held a B.S. in Mathematics, loved teaching. Over the years she taught at Friendship Christian and in the homeschool community. She homeschooled her three children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Lisa was a faithful Christian. April 23rd of this year marked 50 years since she was baptized at Newport Church of Christ in Newport, OH. At College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon and Ethos Church in Nashville, Lisa taught Bible classes, led house churches, and mentored younger women to seek the Lord and to build up their husbands to be spiritual leaders in the home. A few weeks before she lost her life to cancer, she left these words, "I've been so incredibly blessed by the love of so many people--my husband and my children, my family, my church, and my friends. I want everyone to know that the most important thing for them is to believe and trust in Jesus. There is an eternal home waiting for them, and me."
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at College Hills Church of Christ at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service (the family requests attendees wear spring colors).
