Louis Kenneth Simms

SIMMS, Louis Kenneth - age 86 of Lebanon passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the University Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents, Will W. & Elizabeth Simms; wife, Dora Ann Simms; sisters, Lucille Harlan & Beth Lindsley; brother, William Vincent Simms; and son, Tony Goodall. Survived by brother, Julian Simms of GA; sisters, Evelyn Carmichael of Knoxville and Joyce (Woody) Woodall of Springfield; children, Dianne (Cliff) Cozart, Jim (Marcia) Goodall, Jan (Richard) Theoret of Canada, Joe (Cathy) Goodall, and Debbie (Steve) Pollock of NC; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Simms was a Army Veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver with Tucker Freight Line and a farmer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4th from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 5th at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation from 12 noon until service. Interment to follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Friends and family at Four Winds Truck Stop. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the local VFW.
