Mark Ashworth

Mark Alan Ashworth, age 67 of Lebanon, passed on August 25th, 2026 after an extended illness.

He was born in Charleston, SC, spent much of his childhood in Madrid, Spain, and then moved to Lebanon, TN where he graduated Lebanon High School in 1977. He later attended Cumberland University. Mark was in the United States Army and was stationed in Alabama, Germany, and New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy W. and Ophelia Lane Ashworth and his brothers, Donnie and Eric Ashworth. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joanne Ashworth, one son and three daughters, and his nieces and nephews.

Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, and renaissance festivals. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He had a great love of music from many genres, especially tunes from Barbara Streisand. Mark was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Visitation for Mark will take place Wednesday, September 2nd from 11 AM until 12: 45 PM, with a graveside service at 1 PM at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Mark Caruth will officiate the service.
