MURPHY, Rev. Byron S. - age 93 passed away on Monday September 13, 2010 in the V.A. Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tn. Rev. Murphy is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd & Lizzie Trigg Murphy; wife, Stella Payne Murphy; brother, Thomas Murphy; sisters, Ruby Russell, June Street, Linnie Abbott, & Mary Phelps. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy(Don) Woodard; Margaret(Billy) Jones, & Linda(James) Lee; brother, Kenneth(Yolanda) Murphy; sister, Pauline Brown; grandchildren, Rhonda (Tim) Greenhalgh, Tammy Crabtree, Melinda(David) Wilhoite, & Christina(Shane) Williams; great grandchildren, Beth, Chase, & Christopher Greenhalgh; Brittany Crabtree, Savannah Wilhoite, & Peyton Williams; niece, Robbie Gomer & nephews, Ronnie Crotzer & Dennis Crotzer. Rev. Murphy was an Army veteran where he served as a chaplain, he started the First Church of the Nazarene in 1957 and served as their minister. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2010 4-8 p.m. & Thursday September 16, 2010 12 noon until funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Rev. Larry Foster will officiate the services. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Rev. Murphy's family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sherry's Run, P.O.
