Valice Christine Jennings Obituary (1933 - 2018)

JENNINGS, Valice Christine "PoPo" - age 85 of Lebanon formerly of Crossville passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. She was born in Fairview, Virginia to the late Ora E. and Myrtle Jennings. Ms. Jennings is also preceded in death by siblings, Eileen Jennings Sims, Jack Jennings, Ora E. Jennings, Jr., Maurene Jennings, Luther Muriel Jennings, and Frank E. Jennings. She is survived by daughter, Sally Yap; granddaughters, Choi Yap and Swee (Jason) Brown; great granddaughter, Olivia Fugere; and a host of many loving nieces and nephews. Ms. Jennings was the youngest of seven siblings and was known as the "Caboose" by family members. She never married and devoted her life to serving God and her family. Her faith was strong. She loved Jesus completely. She was everyone's favorite aunt and will be especially missed by all the nieces and nephews she helped raise. Ms. Jennings was a 1951 graduate of Spring City High School and attended Tennessee Technological University. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Union Carbide as a computer database manager. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Central Baptist Church in Crossville, TN from 10 a.m.-12 noon (Central time) with a graveside services to follow at 2 p.m. (Eastern time) in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN.
