W.T. Nolen Jr. Obituary (1928 - 2017)

W.T. NOLEN JR.- age 88 of Lebanon passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at The Pavilion. He was preceded in death by parents, William Taylor and Mary Jane Nolen and 10 brothers and sisters. Mr. Nolen is survived by loving wife of 68 years, Mary Hellon Nolen; daughter, Debbie (John) McHenry and son, Bill (Beth) Nolen; grandchildren, Matt (Susie) McHenry, Peter Nolen (Molly) McHenry, Tim (Layne Dombrosky) Nolen, and Katie (Jeff) Skaggs; great-grandchildren, Cooper Rickles, Margaret McHenry, Caroline McHenry, and Thomas Nolen McHenry; and numerous other loving family and friends. Mr. Nolen was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he was a deacon and an active member of the Ready Sunday School Class. He was retired from Kroger as a Purchasing Manager with 43 years of service. He was also an active member and mentor to many with the Wilson County Beekeepers Association. His nickname was "Honeyman". He was a Shriner and a 60 year member of the Unity Lodge #95 in Memphis and he was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite member. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in the Partlow Funeral Chapel from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. with a Masonic service to follow at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Immanuel Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Bro. Donald Owens and Pastor John Hunn will officiate and Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers, Matt McHenry, Peter McHenry, Tim Nolen, Jeff Skaggs, Dave Gordon, Joe Shaffer, and Zach Hunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ready Sunday School Class. The family would like to express their love and thanks to the staff at Tennessee Oncology Lebanon office and The Pavilion. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to The American Cancer Society or Al Menah Temple.
